Study & Careers — Fee Status

Fee-status reference rules · reviewed October 11, 2026.

Sweden: application and tuition exemption

The official central guidance distinguishes EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship, Swedish permanent residence and Swedish temporary residence for reasons other than studies. A temporary study permit does not itself exempt fees. An expired non-study permit has separate extension conditions; the matching tool does not decide them. Fee exemption does not provide living costs or a scholarship.

The tool displays a possible documented exemption, with SEK 0 application/tuition fees only for the applicable exempt category. Programme-specific non-exempt tuition is not invented. Documents and reference dates must be checked for the intake.

Netherlands: statutory is not simply “local”

DUO’s reference amount is EUR 2,694 per academic year for 2026–27 statutory tuition. The tool only offers a potential match when you explicitly select that year, confirm a government-funded programme and no prior government-funded degree at the same level, and self-report an eligible nationality group. These answers still require institution assessment. Specific residence-permit codes and second-degree exceptions are not decided by this tool.

A 2027–28 amount has not been established in this review. Institutional tuition, compulsory charges and funding are separate; do not reuse the historical statutory amount as your next-intake budget.

Oxford undergraduate fee status

Nationality, immigration status and the preceding three years of residence/activity matter. Neither UK residence nor a student visa is an automatic Home-fee decision. Published mathematics rates for 2027 entry are GBP 10,050/year Home and GBP 50,420/year Overseas; both are shown without assigning the user to either category. Oxford assesses the category; loan or bursary eligibility is separate.

Other jurisdictions and unknown answers

No encoded rule means Fee status not established, not a presumed maximum international rate. A visa issued by another country cannot be used to assign an exemption. Permit expiry, purpose, previous degrees, institution and academic year can matter. The website asks for no document number, scan, precise address or login, and it uploads or automatically saves no background answers.

For joint degrees, consult each partner’s current agreement. A classification from one institution is not automatically binding on another. Admission, immigration, tuition, scholarships and employment eligibility remain distinct assessments.
